Today is strange in that I do not know what to make of it. My mind struggles with labels. In many ways I am grateful for the year that has passed, for the voices of support, the strong arms which held, the love enfolding. I am grateful for a life continuing to unfold with ‘yes’ … Continue reading Let it be…
That was a nice visit! The food was nice! It’s nice being here with you! Be nice! ‘Nice’ – a most overused word and ineffectual, I think. When applied to a person, it is also highly nuanced and culture-subjective. What is your imagery of a ‘nice' person? Ever wondered why we are nice? When others … Continue reading Stop being nice

It has been an incredibly demanding 3 weeks – physically, mentally and psychologically; and it culminated in my speaking at a conference out of town. Well, that was yesterday. And now, sitting here alone in the hotel room I have the opportunity to let it all settle in, within me. All is well. These 3 … Continue reading All is well

Nature is miraculous. It is wild and ruthless one day, yet calm and peaceful the next. It is highly selective yet sustains itself. It beats a rhythm I often missed, in the bustle of everyday living - a rhythm of an instinctual life. I once read a book about women running with wolves...and since then, … Continue reading Running with the wolves #BeWow

Well, I kept the promise to myself to meditate for 30 minutes every day for the month of May. Mid-way through this Mindful in May challenge, I decided to extend myself to meditating morning and night. For a long time now, I have dabbled with meditation, knowing full well its positive impact on my day, … Continue reading I can… it is done #BeWow
