Ronovan’s weekly haiku challenge keeps me writing, compelling me to continue doing what I love even when I don’t feel “inspired” or more so when I can’t find the mental space.
Haiku is an art, and not easy. But for an amateur like me, sometimes it is “easy enough” to create so I return time and time again. Frankly, what I do is more senryu than haiku, but I am not quibbling 🙂
So for this week:
fierce wind lashed, crushing
ache within; a frenzied mind
seeks quiet, let be.

The haiku is a contribution to Ronovan’s Haiku Challenge #271. This week’s prompt words are FIERCE and FEVER.
If you are interested in participating, go to RonovanWrites and check out his weekly challenge published every Monday – it comes with “how-to” if you are new to writing haiku. Try it! 🙂
Enjoy!
