Driving along and ‘The Sound of Silence’ streamed through the speakers… not the gentle, contemplative Simon & Garfunkel version, rather the re-make by Disturbed.
Powerful, visceral and somehow more suited, I think, to the world now… haunting and within its dark tones, a call to action. Well, that’s my interpretation of it.
What do you think?

The sounds of silence has always been one of my favorites. I must confess while I do prefer the original this version does have a ghostly quality about it, which is pleasant to hear.

Hi Sarina, the original is melancholic, I think while this is almost anguish. Silence has always been a friend… so is the song. 🙂
